We reset the track record when we deployed the new signal engine (v3.4) — real Elo ratings, ESPN injury feeds, 549 player matchup records, and proper confluence scoring. Early picks under the old engine were excluded. Every result below is from the current system. Small sample size for now — that changes daily.
March Madness Picks — Real Edge in Chaos
College basketball picks use the same confluence methodology as pro sports but with calibrated thresholds for higher volatility. We weight 4-year tournament history (team tournament seeding patterns), strength-of-schedule against tournament teams, and travel distance impact. Bracket picks require 2+ signals minimum; tournament upsets are rare in our system because high-quality low-seeds appear in the data, and low-quality high-seeds do too. The 1.6–1.8 confidence range reflects tournament reality.
